Weltbild is now offering a new service to all customers in the DACHLI region: In a first step, the "Weltbild Home Academy", in cooperation with Trenkwalder Learning, is offering interactive online video courses in mathematics and English. This free-of-charge mobile learning service from Weltbild is to support parents and pupils in times of home-schooling and beyond.
Vienna, 11 May 2020 - Digitization matters: The Covid 19 pandemic has the potential to change our entire consumer behavior in the long term - especially "digital acceptance" is increasing dramatically. This is the result of a recent international survey by the consulting firm Accenture. According to the survey, the number of consumers interested in using digital technologies and services has risen dramatically. Mobile learning and advanced training have already become an important part of the new normality and will continue to be requested and used more intensively in the future. As a result of this change in consumer and learning behavior, Weltbild is expanding its range of digital services and is launching the "Weltbild Home Academy" as a mobile learning platform: https://de.trenkwalder-learning.com/weltbildhomeschool/.
Start of the "Weltbild Home Academy": three interactive learning channels for pupils
The aim of Weltbild's new online mobile learning platform is to offer customers a modern way of acquiring knowledge and advanced training in the long term. As families with school-age children are currently facing challenges, " Weltbild Home School" will, in a first step, offer three mobile learning channels with interactive English and mathematics video courses free of charge for pupils of all ages. More than 1,000 hours of English learning content (videos, educational games, grammar exercises, pronunciation, and vocabulary trainers) and mathematic courses with explanatory tutorials and interactive exercises are available for free until 31 August 2020. The varied educational games and exercises are based on the latest findings in brain research and enable individual learning and practice at a self-determined pace. In addition, parents can continuously follow their children's learning progress and thus support their children's further development.
Christian Sailer, CEO of Weltbild: "Digitization is currently booming and the acceptance of new ways of working and learning is increasing rapidly. Mobile learning will be used to a far greater extent in the future. Our Weltbild Home Academy offers solutions that constantly simplify and improve learning and thus make life easier for parents and pupils".
Dr. Michaela Meier, CEO Trenkwalder Learning GmbH, explains: "We are delighted to support Weltbild as a cooperation partner in this exciting project. In the long term, the Corona crisis will lead to a rethinking in education and advanced training and result in a prioritization of mobile learning and advanced training offers".
