The second Trenkwalder HR Talks took place on March 12th in the TUtheSky at the Vienna University of Technology.
The future challenges in human resources are manifold. The number of active job seekers is constantly decreasing and the role of traditional job boards is changing.
In order to face these constant changes in recruiting and to be able to keep employees in one’s own company, progressive and digital solutions are necessary.
Nilgün Aygen, Managing Director of Profiles International, dedicated her keynote speech to the subject of recruiting. As an expert in this field, she is primarily concerned with active talent acquisition. She highlighted the importance of considering also newcomer, dropouts, and older age groups when hiring personnel, because people are often hired because of their hard skills and then dismissed because of their soft skills.
Rahul Agarwal, Head of Online Marketing of the Trenkwalder Group, reported on his experience in filtering ever-increasing amounts of data and the resulting recruitment of candidates. He stressed how important it is to maintain networks and communities and to build talent pools.
Using practical examples, Dr. Michaela Meier, CEO Trenkwalder Learning, reported on how quickly and flexibly the human brain can adapt to the daily new challenges in the world of work. “Learning in the flow of work” as a necessary and optimal solution was the focus.
As last time, the HR Talks II were moderated by Daniel Laiminger, Co-Founder and Managing Director of hokify.
